Liturgical Year

The Church's year begins on the first week of Advent and follows the pattern of the life of Christ. This focus allows us to follow Jesus through His life, death, and resurrection. The rhythms of this story define Catholic life and provide the faithful with ongoing exposure to the mysteries of Catholic faith

In school too, our year is organised around the same pattern and we enjoy Celebrations, Liturgies, Worships and Acts of Love reflecting the Church's year.

Advent and Christmas

As we prepare for the birth of Jesus, we get ready to welcome Him in school too. It is important that we focus on the Season of Advent as a beautiful time of closeness to God and each other, and not just rush through the Season to Christmas.

Ordinary Time

In school, we talk about 'extra-Ordinary Time'. During this period of The Church Year, we have some of the most amazing stories about Jesus, learn from His greatest teachings and celebrate some of the most fantastic Holy Days in the Church's Year.

Lent
During the most solemn part of the Church's Year we prepare for Jesus' arrest and death, whilst looking forward to The Resurrection. We are asked to fast, pray and give during Lent and in school we do just this. Our fasts aim to replace the storm with a closeness to and peace with God,  we strengthen our approach to prayer and give to those more in need than us in our acts of charity.

Easter

The most important time in The Church's Year, Jesus' triumph over death and the reason we can all hope. In school our focus becomes The Resurrection and how we meet and recognise Jesus, just as the disciples did all those years ago. We can once again confidently sing Alleluia! He Is Risen!

October and May

Twice a year, our focus is more than ever on our Lady and The Roasary - a special prayer we were given by Our Lady. In school we learn some beautiful prayers dedicated just to Our Lady and The Rosary Club is held in school, led by some of our Parish volunteers,
