Year 6
Class teacher: Mrs A Reardon
Teaching assistant: Mrs R Harnett
Welcome to Year 6`s Class Page
Our class news this week:
In Maths, we worked on `Decimals`.
Our class reading book this half-term is: `Clockwork` by Philip Pullman. I believe the children will love the spookiness of the story; it will also enable us to produce some amazing pieces of writing.
PE days for this half-term are: Tuesday and Wednesday.

Homework
Each week, children will have their homework set on a Friday that is expected to be completed and handed in by the following Thursday.
https://www.learningcircuits.co.uk/
Tasks will be set in their CGP Spag and Reading Comprehension books. Grammar will be a weekly task, whilst comprehension will be set bi-weekly. In addition to these tasks, Y6 students will have weekly maths tasks set on Mathletics and additional grammar activities on PurpleMash (including spelling).
Children are expected to read daily, but they are also `strongly` encouraged to spend 20–30 minutes about 3 times during the week on completing ReadTheory tasks.
