Welcome to Year 6`s Class Page
Our class news this week:
This week the children learnt about how the war affected the people of Britain, especially the children.
We link our class reader: Friend or foe, written by Michael Morpurgo, with our topic as well.
In RE, we read Gospel accounts about how Mary Fulfilled the Promises and Prophecies of the Old Testament.
In Maths this week we looked at converting measurements.
Homework
Each week, children will have their homework set on a Friday that is expected to be completed and handed in by the following Thursday.
https://www.learningcircuits.co.uk/
Tasks will be set in their CGP Spag and Reading Comprehension books. Grammar will be a weekly task, whilst comprehension will be set bi-weekly. In addition to these tasks, Y6 students will have weekly maths tasks set on Mathletics and additional grammar activities on PurpleMash (including spelling).
Children are expected to read daily, but they are also `strongly` encouraged to spend 20–30 minutes about 3 times during the week on completing ReadTheory tasks.
