Our School Saints

We are so proud that our school is dedicated to such an amazing and inspiring saint, St Catherine of Alexandria.

St Catherine lived many years ago in the city of Alexandria in Egypt. She was known for her great intelligence, kindness, and strong faith in God. Even as a young woman, Catherine bravely stood up for what she believed in. She spoke with confidence about her faith and was not afraid to share the truth of Jesus with others.

According to tradition, Catherine challenged important scholars who did not believe in Christianity. With wisdom and courage, she explained her faith so clearly that many people began to believe it. This shows us how powerful truth, courage, and faith can be.

St Catherine loved God deeply and stayed faithful to Him, even when it was very difficult. Her bravery reminds us to stand up for what is right, to be kind and thoughtful, and to always trust in God.

Each class learns a little bit more about St Catherine at the start of each school year and we aim to live and learn from her example by:

  • Being brave in sharing our beliefs.
  • Using our talents and intelligence to help others
  • Treating everyone with kindness and respect
  • Trusting in God, even when things are hard

St Catherine of Alexandria is a wonderful role model for all of us. We are proud to follow in her footsteps and keep her spirit alive in our school community.
