Each week your child will have homework set which will be expected to be completed by Thursday. There will be homework set in the CGP books for Grammar and Reading Comprehension. These are provided for you. Some weeks there will also be a Maths homework set. 

The most important way to support your child at home is through reading and phonics. We expect each child to read for a minimum of 10 minutes a day. If you have time, try to read with your child and ask them questions about the story they are reading. This quality, dedicated time set aside to read has a huge impact on your children's learning across the curriculum and helps develop a love of reading which can last a lifetime. Please also access the phonics videos, which are uploaded weekly, so you can help your child with their phonic knowledge as well.

Our Class News This Week – 1st December - 5th December 2025

This week in English, we have been continuing to write our own creative stories based on The Tiger who came to tea. We have been trying to add adjectives into our writing to make it more interesting.  In Maths, we have been learning about greater than and less than using crocodile symbols. We have also been trying to work out addition and subtraction number sentences and see which one is greater than or less than.  In RE, we have been learning about when the Angels came to the Shepherds. We learnt about how angels are God's messengers when God wants to tell someone good news.  Your child will have received a letter about Dojo.
