Each week your child will have homework set which will be expected to be completed by Thursday. There will be homework set in the CGP books for Grammar and Reading Comprehension. These are provided for you. Some weeks there will also be a Maths homework set. 

The most important way to support your child at home is through reading and phonics. We expect each child to read for a minimum of 10 minutes a day. If you have time, try to read with your child and ask them questions about the story they are reading. This quality, dedicated time set aside to read has a huge impact on your children's learning across the curriculum and helps develop a love of reading which can last a lifetime. Please also access the phonics videos, which are uploaded weekly, so you can help your child with their phonic knowledge as well.

Our Class News This Week – 15th June -  19th June 2026

This week in English we have been thinking about what aliens would do if they came to Earth. We decided on three things we thought aliens would like to do and then wrote a diary entry in person as an alien describing how it felt.  In Maths, we have been learning about comparing numbers to 100. We have been looking at the tens and ones of a number and deciding if they they are greater than, less than or equal to each other.  In RE, we have been thinking about questions we are going to ask a parishioner ahead of their visit next week, we wanted to know how it feels to be part of a community of God and what their job/role is as a parishioner.
