Each week your child will have homework set which will be expected to be completed by Thursday. There will be homework set in the CGP books for Grammar and Reading Comprehension. These are provided for you. Some weeks there will also be a Maths homework set. 

The most important way to support your child at home is through reading and phonics. We expect each child to read for a minimum of 10 minutes a day. If you have time, try to read with your child and ask them questions about the story they are reading. This quality, dedicated time set aside to read has a huge impact on your children's learning across the curriculum and helps develop a love of reading which can last a lifetime. Please also access the phonics videos, which are uploaded weekly, so you can help your child with their phonic knowledge as well.

Our Class News This Week – 24th November - 28th November 2025

This week in English, we have been writing letters to Golidlocks in role as Baby Bear using the pronoun I.  We have also started writing our own creative story based on The Tiger who came to tea.  In Maths, we have been learning about subtraction, by using a number line to jump backwards. We have also been looking at finding the difference between two groups by looking at which group has more or less. In RE, we have been learning about The Visitation where Mary visited Elizabeth. We discussed how Mary might be feeling and looked at how Elizabeth comforted and explained that Mary was blessed.  In Topic, we created our own maps of the classroom using a colour key and a compass by making sure that the front of the classroom was south and the back was north. 

Please read the letter attached with your homework about our Advent giving calendar, attached is a list of when your child's chosen giving day is.
